Summary
Let’s do a community painting night! Since there’s been interest in a social hobby activity, and Emerald Tavern hosts “Painting with a Pint” events on the first and third Thursday of every month, let’s show our support for a local FLGS while improving our painting skill together.
Part 1 (Virtual):
Prepare your mini for the in-person Painting with a Pint on Thursday, July 18 by doing all the base coating ahead of time. Then, we can focus on doing the detail work which is more effective to demonstrate in-person. Join this optional virtual community painting night as we follow along the with the process of getting a miniature painted to “High Tabletop”/“Light Competition” standards.
This event will be two parts, and be intended to paint one miniature to high tabletop / low competition standards. The goal in Part 1 is to complete the basecoating portion of your selected miniature, to the same spot as the 4th panel of Yasbir below. Large armor sections and cloaks/capes will be basecoated in their final gradients, and other parts of the miniature will be blocked in a solid color. If you have an airbrush, get it out! Otherwise, brush basecoating is perfectly fine too.
This event will meant to be preparation for Painting with a Pint on Thursday, July 18 at Emerald Tavern. Be sure to get your tickets at Emerald Tavern before they sell out! There is a maximum of 25 seats, so act fast!
